These QuickMates™ Mandrels are designed for use with the QuickMates™ Series II extension shaft. Each extension shaft comes complete with the mandrel. Extra mandrels are available if ever required.
To remove the existing mandrel if your system is fully assembled with coil magazine and Makita power tool attached:-
1/ Remove the Coil magazine from the extension shaft.
2/ Remove the existing mandrel from the extension shaft by turning the open end of the shaft vertically downwards to face the ground. The mandrel should slide out.
To replace the Mandrel:-
1/ Place Makita tool upside down on the ground at your feet and hold the open end of the extension shaft.
2/ Slide the Hexagonal (male) end of the mandrel into the shaft and lower it down until it contacts the power tool.
3/ Using the ball of your thumb on the (female) end of the mandrel and twist slightly until it locks into the Makita tool. If obstruction is encountered DO NOT force it, simply withdrawn the mandrel and try again.
