320550 PlasterMates™ - Metal Alloy
PlasterMates™ are a unique Self-Drilling anchor for fixing to plasterboard and can be driven by hand with a cross recess screwdriver or power driven at very low speed. Once in place an 8 gauge screw is used to attach the fixture to the PlasterMates™ anchor. If a stud is encountered simply remove the PlasterMates™ anchor and fix directly into the stud with a screw or nail. Available in Zinc Alloy (ZA) or Nylon material.

Step 1:-
Ensure there is a clearance hole for an 8g IDEAL Self Tapping or TimberMates® screw in the fixture (e.g. bracket, picture hook etc) being fastened. This will also assist with alignment during installation.
Step 2:-
Place the fixture against the wallboard mark the position for drilling your PlasterMates™ anchor.
Step 3:-
Place the PlasterMates™ anchor at the marked position on the plasterboard and drive by hand with a cross recess Phillips driver tool screwdriver or power drive at very low speed in a clockwise direction. Continue driving until the head is flush with the surface of the board.
Step 4:-
If a stud is encountered simply remove the PlasterMates™ anchor and fix directly into the stud with a screw or nail.
Step 5:-
Position the fixture against the substrate with the clearance hole in it aligned with the hole in the set PlasterMates™ anchor.
Step 6:-
Insert an 8g IDEAL Self Tapping or TimberMates® screw through the clearance hole in the fixture and into the hole in the PlasterMates™ anchor.
Ensure the correct Driver tool is fitted to your screwdriver and drive the screw home by hand tool or power driver at very low speed until firmly secured. DO NOT over tighten
