320500 Hollow Wall Anchors

• Apart from load and screw embedment considerations there are no restrictions to fixture thickness
• Available in a wide range of sizes

Step 1:-
Select the correct size Hollow Wall Anchor to suit the thickness of the wallboard being fixed to.

Step 2:-
A clearance hole for the threaded screw within the Hollow Wall anchor is recommended in the fixture (e.g. bracket, picture hook etc) being fastened and this will also assist with alignment during installation.

Step 3:-
Place the fixture against the wallboard mark the position for drilling your hole(s).

Step 4:-
Drill the correct size hole through the plasterboard, wall board etc.,

Step 5:-
Place the Hollow Wall Anchor through the hole until the prongs under the head are engaged in the surface of the wallboard.

Step 6:-
Set the anchor using a setting tool to pull the anchor up until it is firmly secured in the substrate material. Smaller size/diameters may be possible to set by hand by tightened the screw that is within the anchor.
Note: Larger sizes/diameters of Hollow Wall anchors require greater torque than may be possible to achieve by hand and/or attempting to drive by hand may damage the wall board.

Step 6:-
Remove the screw from the set Hollow Wall anchor.

Step 7:-
Position the fixture against the substrate with the clearance hole in it aligned with the threaded hole in the set Hollow Wall anchor.
Insert the screw through the fixture and into the threaded hole in the Hollow Wall anchor.

Step 8:-
Drive the fastener home by hand tool or power driver until firmly secured. DO NOT over tighten

• Ideal for fixing picture hooks, curtain rails and tracks, light fittings, CCTV cameras etc to plasterboard walls.
