320570 Spring Toggles - Round Head
Spring Toggles are a light to medium duty anchor for fixing to plasterboard and other hollow materials. They incorporate a fixing screw with toggle wings which expand behind the plasterboard or other hollow wall sheeting to form a secure hold. Featuring a Round head screw other types including Countersunk and Cup hook head styles are available upon request.

Step 1:-
Select the correct size Spring Toggle Anchor to suit the thickness of the wall or ceiling board and the fixture being connected to it.
Step 2:-
Ensure a clearance hole is in the fixture (e.g. bracket, picture hook, etc) to allow the threaded shank of the screw within the Spring Toggle anchor to pass through unobstructed. This will also assist with alignment during installation.
Step 3:-
Place the fixture against the wallboard mark the position for drilling your hole(s).
Step 4:-
Drill the correct size hole through the plasterboard, wall board etc., to suit your selected Spring Toggle Anchor.
Step 5:-
Unwind the screw from the toggle wings and pass it through the clearance hole in the fixture, re-attach the toggle wings onto the thread of the screw making sure at least (2) fully formed threads protrude through the back side of the toggle wings.
Step 6:-
Compress the toggle wings hard against the shank of the screws and check that the screw will be long enough to be able to push the compressed toggle wings completely through to the back side of the board being fixed to so they are able to spring open.
Step 6:-
Position the fixture against the wallboard. Align the Spring Toggle with the centre of the hole in the board and push the it into and through the hole in the board, if necessary the wings may need to be compressed by hand to get the Spring Toggle anchor started in the hole. Continue to push until the wings have passed into the void behind the board and have sprung open.
Step 7:-
Drive the screw home by hand tool or power driver at low speed until firmly secured. DO NOT over tighten.
