150130 TimberMates® - Countersunk Head
These screws are designed for self-drilling and fastening into timber but are also capable of self-drilling through thin metal up to approximately 0.55mm. They feature a Type 17 self-drilling point for drilling into timber and Countersunk head for a flush finish in the fixture being attached. With a Phillips drive which provides a deep positive recess for easy driving and can be driven by hand or power tool. 1/ Ensure the correct driver tool is fitted to your power drill or screw driver.
2/ Place the screw on the driver tool and position it onto the materials being fastened.
3/ If necessary push sharply to create a centre mark and to prevent screw wander.
4/ Squeeze trigger and maintain steady, constant pressure until the screw has drilled and fastened.
Recommended Driving speed is approximately 800~1,000 r.p.m. when fixing into timber and 1,800~2,000 r.p.m when fixing into light steel battens.
